Eye Care Policy

Effective from 29th July 2026

Introduction

WOW Media UK Ltd is committed to protecting the health and wellbeing of employees who use display screen equipment (DSE) as part of their role. In line with the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, employees are entitled to a free eye test on request, along with the cost of glasses if these are required specifically for DSE use.

Eye Test Reimbursement

Employees can claim back the cost of an eye test up to £40 per year via expenses, on production of a valid receipt. Eye tests can be booked with any registered optician.

Glasses for DSE Use

If your eye test identifies that you need glasses specifically for using a computer screen, WOW Media UK Ltd will reimburse the reasonable cost of basic corrective lenses for this purpose. If you require glasses for general use (not specifically for DSE), this will not be covered.

Making a Claim

Submit your eye test (and, where applicable, DSE glasses) receipt through the normal company expenses process. Claims should be submitted within 3 months of the appointment or purchase date.
